COLT STARTING-
Kala’i accepts colts for his training program. He will start with ground work and move into the saddle as each horse is ready. Each horse is different and progresses at a different pace. He will stay in contact with you to let know just where your horse is at.
RODEO HORSES-
Kala’i has proven himself as a trainer of winning horses in all areas of rodeo arena. He trains team roping (both heading & heeling), breakaway and tie-down roping, barrel racing, and pole bending horses. He accepts horses that have already been started and just need to be finished or tuned up as well as those that need to be started. Horses for all levels of riders are accepted from beginners and kid horses to advance competitors.
REINING, CUTTING, & COW HORSES-
Kala’i takes horses into his program to teach them a reining foundation and builds on each individual horse’s talent from there. Similarly for cow horses and cutting horses accepted. He works horses on both a mechanical flag and live cattle.
LESSONS & COACHING-
Kala’i may provide lessons upon request. If he is available he may give lessons if you have a horse in training with him or have purchased a horse through him. He wants to see you and your horse succeed. He offers coaching to a limited number of people for rodeo events, including kids from keiki rodeo through high school rodeo.
CLINICS-
Kala’i on occasion will put on clinics within the state for different events, primarily barrel racing. If you are interested in setting up a clinic contact Kala’i directly. The next upcoming clinic is posted below.
